NOSSCR is pleased to announce the new online process for submitting session proposals for the 2023 Annual Conference is now open.
The NOSSCR Conference Committee welcomes and strongly encourages everyone interested in presenting to submit a proposal, even if proposals submitted in prior years have been declined. We also welcome participation from individuals who may not want to present but are willing to be involved in other ways, such as being moderators or assistants to presenters. With the inclusion of Law Practice Management and Complementary Practice Areas in the Conference program, we look forward to reviewing a variety of proposals on areas relevant to our membership. Presenters may request a waiver of the conference fee.
Please submit your proposal using our new online form by December 15, 2022. A PDF version of this survey is available so that you may review it in advance of completion and gather the necessary information. A description of the four Learning Path categories is available here.
The deadline for presenters to submit their materials is February 15, 2023.
Another significant change for 2023 relates to moderators. Individuals with expertise in a particular area are encouraged to apply to moderate sessions. Moderators will be subject matter experts who will receive training on the conference technology and procedures and will coordinate with their pre-assigned presenter(s) in advance of the conference. Moderators and Assistants may also request a waiver of the conference fee.
We also encourage new practitioners who have an interest in participating in the Conference, but may not yet have the expertise to present, to offer assistance with the preparation of PowerPoint materials.
If you are interested in serving as a moderator, please complete our moderator form by December 15, 2022. This is a separate form than the session proposal form.
The circuit roundtable sessions will be restructured and bifurcated into separate programs with one part being a continuing legal education program on a subject matter issue selected by circuit members, and the other part providing an opportunity to meet with your circuit representatives.
If you have not done so already, please complete the questionnaire regarding topics of concern in your circuit by November 1, 2022. Although the subject matter sessions will focus on issues selected by members of each specific circuit, the sessions will be open to all Conference attendees. You can also use the member questionnaire to suggest other topics of interest or possible presenters.
If you have any questions about submitting a proposal, serving as a moderator or assistant, or any other matter related to the Annual Conference, please send us a message at email@example.com.
Information will be available soon about registration for the Conference, scholarships for the Conference, or becoming an exhibitor at the Conference.
