Brief Writer (Midwest Disability)

Midwest Disability is seeking a brief writer to draft prehearing memorandums for Social Security disability hearings before administrative law judges. This is a remote position with a flexible schedule that is paid by the brief. Ability to meet deadlines is critically important.

While experience with Social Security disability law is a plus for this position, it is not required. Law students with exceptional writing skills will be considered.

We are a firm that is dedicated to going the extra mile for our clients. While you may have written hearing briefs before, the ideal candidate is someone who can craft a brief that does more than just list the evidence. While that is important, we are looking for a writer who can persuasively tell a client’s story, from why they stopped working to how exactly their conditions impact their daily lives now.
