Senior Project Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Century City)

National Disability Alliance, LLC is searching for a self-motivated Senior Project Manager with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.  The Sr. PM will be interfacing with an executive audience including the CEO and Director of Client Experience on a regular basis.  The ideal candidate will be someone who takes ownership, has a solution-oriented outlook and is able to navigate different personalities and audiences with ease.  The person should be highly organized.  The Senior PM should also have a big picture vision, such that they are able to see the overall business strategy in addition to the day-to-day project progress.  This will require a great deal of influence, presentation skills and business savvy. The person that we hire must be one who sees that there are always ways to improve and hone business processes, technology, marketing, the client experience and more.  They must also persuade our business stakeholders of the benefits of continual process improvement as applied to an entrenched area of business.

The Senior Project Manager will provide strategic oversight and support to projects identified by the firm’s executive leadership.  They will be responsible for managing, Coordinating, and administering projects during all stages of the project lifecycle; from design through delivery.  They will own the overall responsibility of delivering each project within the scope, cost and schedule specified.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that may span multiple cross-functional areas;
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously;
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives;
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities;
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence;
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization;
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes;
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings;
  • Provide status reports and updates regarding project priorities, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership;
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs;
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client and partner goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices;
  • Manage project scope and changes;
  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders;
  • Act as an internal quality control check for the project;
  • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution;
  • Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested projects;
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues;
  • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders;
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel;
  • Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables;
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, Director of Client Experience, and key stakeholders;
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas;
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle;
  • Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors, and university stakeholders;
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team;
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication;
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards;
  • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline;
  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices;
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques;
  • Proven success in providing on site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones, and;
  • Establish practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization

Minimum 5 years prior project manager experience required; Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  MBA preferred.  PMP Certification is preferred.  Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.  Understanding and exposure to Agile approaches is preferred.  Previous work experience in an executive and/or legal environment is preferred.


Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and technical data.  Ability to write comprehensive correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Ability to calculate and interpret large quantities of statistical data.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in varying situations.


Strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations.  Familiarity with time management principles.  Strong MS Office skills.  Salesforce familiarity is preferred.
