Associate Attorney

Culbertson, Jacobs & LaBoda, PLLC is seeking a self-motivated full-time entry level attorney to work with a well-established and growing law firm in its Daytona office location.  Our office practices Social Security Disability law and has a high volume of clients.  Client service and communication are key in this role.  You do not need to have previous exposure to Social Security Disability law, but we do require that you have basic computer skills, strong people skills, an ability to handle stressful situations, an ability to get along well with co-workers, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

We will train you to handle the following tasks:

• Client intake phone calls;
• Answering client’s questions and concerns;
• Working up a case by gathering medical records and drafting questionnaires for doctors;
• Preparing On-The-Record Requests for favorable decisions;
• Communicating with the Social Security offices;
• Taking action on each case at the appropriate time.

Job Requirements

• Licensed attorney (or sitting for the July 2024 bar exam);
• Must have the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality;
• Good attendance and punctuality are required as this is an in-person position;
• Compensation according to experience and market expectations. We also offer PTO, paid holidays, etc.;
• Spanish-speaking ability preferred but not required;
• We plan a 3-month trial work period.
