Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Director of Case Management to join our growing Social Security Disability Advocacy Group. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of case management, particularly within the SSD sector, and a proven track record in operational leadership. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and streamline the case processing functions, ensuring that every step aligns with our strategic vision and objectives while maximizing efficiency and client satisfaction. You will work closely with senior management to drive organizational goals, implement industry best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the case management team.

Responsibilities
Strategic Development & Implementation:
- Formulate and implement case management strategies that align with the firm’s objectives to efficiently process thousands of cases annually.
- Work closely with senior leadership to establish performance targets and goals for case handling, client satisfaction, and process improvement.
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee daily case management operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to Social Security Administration (SSA) requirements.
- Monitor and enhance workflow processes, from client intake through application submission and appeals, to streamline operations.
Collaboration & Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with department heads and teams to identify areas for improvement and drive the implementation of best practices for case handling.
- Lead process improvements and standardizations to optimize resource allocation and reduce application processing times.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the case management department, optimizing resource use to support case growth.
- Ensure that financial operations are in line with organizational policies and contribute to sustainable growth.
Compliance & Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with SSA regulations, data privacy laws, and internal policies to uphold the integrity and legality of case processing.
- Implement quality assurance measures to review cases for completeness and accuracy, minimizing the risk of delays or denials.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, develop, and mentor the case management team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and client-focused service.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set team objectives, and provide guidance to support professional growth within the department.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators for case handling efficiency, success rates, and team productivity.
- Prepare detailed reports to communicate operational outcomes, challenges, and achievements to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior case management or operational role, ideally within Social Security Disability or a similar high-volume case environment.
- In-depth knowledge of SSA regulations, application processes, and appeals procedures.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a sharp attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with case management software, CRM tools, and workflow optimization technologies.
