NOSSCR makes all levels of exhibitor relationships available to all applicants for at least 30 days before arranging our hall and making decisions about space limits and diversity of offerings. For products and services that further NOSSCR’s mission and the Social Security practices of NOSSCR’s members, we will strive to include as many options as possible–possibly to the exclusion of larger contracts offered for other products or services. For example, acquiring Social Security law reference materials, products used when questioning witnesses in hearings, or advocates offering representation in federal court are all activities carried out by our members or needed by our members for appropriate representation of Social Security claimants. Thus, we may recruit additional exhibitors in these areas and accept less revenue to do so. To further our mission of education, we may provide exhibiting space without cost to other nonprofits, governmental representatives, or others pursuing a policy agenda.
This NOSSCR approach to our limited exhibition space requires that we place caps on other vendors of products and services. We may do this by limiting an event to the first–or first several–bidders exhibiting a particular product or service. We may require some products and services to engage with us only at one of our higher tiers for exhibiting, but that type of restriction would occur only for vendors that are not providing a service described by or within NOSSCR’s Social Security claims mission.
