Join us on Sunday, May 17, 2020 for our SSI Pre-Conference Bootcamp at the Hyatt Regency Chicago right before our official annual conference. Join experts from leading advocacy organizations for a special pre-conference designed for advocates who focus on establishing and maintaining clients’ eligibility for SSI. Sessions on medical cessations (Continuing Disability Reviews and Age 18 Reviews), overpayments (appeals, waivers and repayment plans), special needs trusts and ABLE accounts, and immigrant eligibility for SSI are planned.
NBTA Certification Exam on May 16, 2020 [$250]
Saturday, May 16, 2020
We are pleased to announce a new benefit for NOSSCR members available in conjunction with this year’s annual conference in Chicago. Through NOSSCR’s association with the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA), members will have the opportunity to become nationally board certified in Social Security Disability (SSD). NBTA is administering its Spring 2020 SSD certification examination on May 16, 2020, the day before the start of the conference. NOSSCR has negotiated a reduced NBTA examination fee, from $400 to $250, exclusively for NOSSCR members. This offer ends on April 25, 2020. To register, please email Gwen Arcangelo at: email@example.com. The exam will be given close to the conference hotel (about 5-10 minutes by car).
Sunday, May 17, 2020
No need to eat alone! Join other attendees for a night of casual dining and fun with some new and some familiar faces. NOSSCR will make reservations at a few local restaurants for evening dinner. Meet new people, try a new cuisine and explore Chicago! Each attendee will be responsible for paying for his or her meal costs. Sign up for your dinner during registration on Sunday afternoon; sign-up sheets will be posted on the message board in the registration area.

As a part of the Meals program, Inspiration Corporation provides bagged lunches, which provide an important nutritional support to participants who do not have access to other nutritional support for 24-36 hours between meals service at Inspiration Cafe. Working as a team to create the bagged lunches provides an invaluable support for Inspiration Corporation’s participants. Bagged lunches are distributed to participants in the cafe following meals services, as well as by case managers to housing participants all over the city of Chicago. Join us as we learn about Inspiration Corporation, with a staff member, make and donate many bagged lunches, and enjoy some refreshments together. This event takes place at the hotel and is an add-on option in your conference registration.
