NOSSCR Hosts Dinner Fundraiser for Congressman Ron Estes to Discuss Social Security Issues
September 25, 2025
On September 16, 2025, the NOSSCR PAC hosted a small dinner fundraiser for Congressman Ron Estes (R-KS) at an Italian restaurant on Capitol Hill. The intimate gathering allowed for meaningful conversation between NOSSCR and key congressional staff about pressing Social Security issues.
Attendees from NOSSCR included David Camp, Esterien Keet, Jennifer Cronenberg, and Betsy Rosecan. Congressman Estes was joined by his Chief of Staff, Joshua Bell, and Legislative Director, Elizabeth Young.
Discussion topics ranged from electronic medical records and modernization initiatives at the Social Security Administration (SSA) to improving efficiencies and streamlining SSA’s signature requirements. Attendees also emphasized Congress’ ongoing role in ensuring high-quality customer service from the agency for claimants and representatives alike.
As Chairman of the Social Security Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee, Congressman Estes plays a central role in shaping legislation and oversight related to Social Security. Events like this dinner, made possible by the generous support of NOSSCR members who contribute to the PAC, provide crucial opportunities to engage directly with policymakers and advocate for policies that benefit Social Security claimants.
NOSSCR is grateful to its members for helping make these conversations possible, reinforcing the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the Social Security system and ensuring that claimants’ voices are heard in Congress.
